Community Service Council of Greater Tulsa
CSC-GT is a research and planning organization focusing on health and human service organizations in eastern Oklahoma. The Council was established in 1941 and has been the neutral convener for a number of key collaborative efforts in the community. Since 2004, CSC has focused on health care transformation, first with DHHS, Healthy Community Access Project establishing a cloud database for homeless management services; DHHS, HRSA Eliminating Disparities in Perinatal Health with community-based care coordinators to reduce racial disparities in perinatal health; DHHS, Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology, Beacon Community Cooperative Grant to establish the health information exchange in an 8 county area which has become a statewide initiative, and most recently DHHS, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services navigator contractor of the Affordable Care Act through the 2-1-1 statewide phone system.
As an incubator for emerging non-profits, CSC has helped several CHIO's write planning grant applications to the Health Resource Services Administration (HRSA).
CSC-GT, in collaboration with OPHIC faculty, OSDH staff, and the health information organizations will develop a primary health care tracking system (database) that contributes to the development of robust CHIPs and facilitates resource development and distribution.
